I look forward to the Summer Olympics every 4 years. I am always inspired and motivated by the athletes and the sports. So, this year I decided to create three olympic inspired workouts! One based on swimming which focuses on should and back strength, flexibility and mobility. A gymnastic inspired workout focusing on core strength conditioning and stretching. Finally an explosive power track leg workout. Do one, two or all three for a full body all-star olympic workout.
Explosive Power/ Leg Workout!
walkouts 1 min *harder burpees
left leg dumbbell deadlifts 10 reps
right leg dumbbell deadlifts 10 reps
lateral bear crawls-20 reps
(remain low, flat back, knees hovering over the ground. Walk your hands and feet over one and back to original position for 1 rep)
Round 2-This is the explosive power round be fast and powerful in your movements!
Box Jumps 6 reps
cross back lunges alternating 20 reps
split jumps alternating 20 reps
(start in lunge jump up explosively switching legs and landing in lunge agin. )
plank knee tucks 20 reps
(start in plank and jump both your feet in and back out.)
*Suggested 3x round for full workout!

plank knee tucks * jump you feet into a tuck position and back out into plank again*
